Karen Benjamin
Karen Benjamin works part time for University of Gloucestershire
with Playwork Partnerships and the Performing Arts Department. As a trainer and writer of playwork courses
she is currently working on a project to take the playwork methodology to
Europe. Karen is also an Associate Trainer for Scrapstore Playpods in the
Midlands where, along with her colleagues Sue and Ali, they are just about to
open their 12th Playpod! Her recent playwork experience includes working for
DENS of Equality ASC for children with autism, as well as volunteering at
Meriden Adventure Playground where she is chair of the Friends Group. In the
past she has managed an Adventure Playground for Disabled Children in Glasgow. Karen performs in Birmingham with Box of
Frogs, a comedy improvisation group
